Memorial Scholarships and Special Gifts

For establishing a memorial scholarship or making other types of special gifts, Lorne Park Foundation is pleased to discuss options with you, privately, with no obligation on your part.

Memorial scholarships involve an amount of not less than $10,000 (ten thousand dollars) for practical administration of a named scholarship fund. Smaller gifts can be made to our general scholarships endowment fund.

Special gifts can be made directly to Lorne Park Foundation for current use in designated ministries e.g. Wesley Chair, etc. Working through independent professional services, we can accept special gift donations of securities, paid-up life insurance policies, and other such assets.

You can also set up various types of deferred gifts, where again we use independent, professional services. A popular type is a charitable gift annuity to provide mostly tax-free income for your lifetime. The residual balance then goes to Lorne Park Foundation, for a memorial scholarship or other special purpose that you may specify. Donor-advised funds are increasingly popular as a tool for deferred giving and these can also be arranged.

Please contact us if you are interested in scholarships and other options for making special gifts.

Please Note:

When it comes to designated donations, Lorne Park Foundation is like any other charity. As such, donations are accepted only for LPF-approved programs and projects.

Each contribution will be used as designated by the donor with the understanding that if that particular program or project has been fully funded or cannot be completed for reasons determined by LPF Directors, contributions so designated will be used where most needed, preserving as much as possible any memorial feature of the donation.
